With just two weeks left until election day, candidates up and down the ballot are traveling every corner of the state in search for your vote.
Candidates for Governor of Georgia and U.S. Senate are embarking on statewide bus tours to rally supporters as early voting enters its second week. The state is set to pass more than 1 million votes cast as early as Tuesday — a record turnout number at this point for a midterm election.
Here’s a quick overview of where the “Big Four” candidates are traveling this week.
Herschel
GOP U.S. Senate nominee Herschel Walker is making stops in mountainous North Georgia this week. A big basket of Republican votes, GOP candidates usually rely on huge turnout here in order to win statewide.
On Monday, Walker stopped in Rome to campaign with U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. He also visited a gun range in Jasper.
His trek across North Georgia is set to continue on Tuesday with a stop in Dawsonville. And South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham will be back in Georgia on Wednesday to campaign with Walker in Cleveland County.
Rev
U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock is hitting the campaign trail with help from his colleague, U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff. The pair is set to rally voters in Warnock’s hometown of Savannah on Tuesday as polls continue to show a tight race.
The two Democrats are also set to join Republican Gov. Brian Kemp at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Hyundai facility in nearby Bryan County.
Then on Wednesday, Warnock’s itinerary includes a stop in the college town of Statesboro. He will then travel to Augusta.
Brian
Gov. Brian Kemp is spending all week traveling across South Georgia. On Monday, he visited supporters in Claxton and Mt. Vernon. His schedule Tuesday includes a stop in Pooler, a small town just outside of Savannah.
His tour also includes a visit to Georgia’s beautiful coastline. On Thursday, he will travel to Glynn County to rally Republicans on St. Simons Island.
Kemp’s Friday morning is packed: He has a breakfast in St. Marys at 8:00AM, a bus stop in Folkston at 9:30AM, followed by a lunch in Brunswick at 11:30AM.
Stacey
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is traveling the state with all of her Democratic ticket-mates. On Monday, she rallied supporters in reliably Republican Cherokee County.
Abrams is spending time in Southwest Georgia on Tuesday, with stops in Buena Vista, Americus and Albany. She also has two college towns on her mind: she will visit Fort Valley on Wednesday and Milledgeville on Thursday.
She and Sen. Warnock are set to rally with a special guest this week: former President Barack Obama is set to rally in College Park on Friday to fire up Democratic voters.
