A Post-Roe Georgia with Niles Francis
Niles explores the impact of the Dobbs decision on Georgia
I am excited to share a fun new project that I am working on.
Last week’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade rattled the entire country. I have hardly written anything about the ruling since it was handed down. That is because throughout July, I plan on interviewing several special guests to discuss this major decision and how it will impact Georgia.
From it’s impact on women, to how prosecutors plan on enforcing new abortion restrictions (if at all), and how it could change the trajectory of several competitive races this fall. I want to put our beliefs aside and examine what a post-Roe Georgia will look like for everyday Georgians and voters.
Details on additional interview guests will be forthcoming, but I am pleased to share that my first guest will be DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston. We will be discussing the important role that local prosecutors will now be playing in this uncharted legal era. I look forward to sharing our conversation with you all!
Both sides are very passionate about this issue, but it is imperative that we understand what this ruling means for our state. I want to do the best I can to cut through the social media and cable news clutter to paint a clear picture of what is to come.
